Message Received by Old School Surgery from the Cervical Screening Team
We would like to inform you that due to ongoing operational issues with ongoing sickness and vacancies within our reporting team, the turnaround times for HPV positive cervical sample results has been affected.
These results will be delayed by approximately 8 weeks. We are working closely with NHSE and SQAS to implement a recovery programme in order to reduce our current backlog. There will be an increase in reporting capacity from the last two weeks of May and this will lead to an increase in Colposcopy referrals. Please accept our apologies for this delay.
