Our policy
The surgery is not able to supply certificates for fitness to fly during pregnancy.
As GP’s we are no longer involved in routine antenatal care and do not have access to antenatal care records. As a result, we do not have the information required to complete such certificates.
Under our local Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust’s current policy, the midwifery team do not recommend flying whilst pregnant and will not issue Fit to Fly Certificates.
