Our policy
Old School Surgery is an accredited General Practitioner Training Practice. Our Registrars benefit the practice by bringing recent hospital experience. During their time with us, they will see patients independently but will be supervised at all times. These placements provide essential training for Doctors new to General Practice and will benefit patient care in the future.
Medical students
We are a teaching practice and students sometimes sit in with Drs and Nurses. If you would prefer to not have a student sitting in, please let the Doctor or Receptionist know.
General practitioner registrars
GP Registrars are often attached to the practice and are fully qualified Doctors gaining experience in General Practice.
Videoing consultations
As part of on-going training some Doctors on occasion may video their consultations. Consent is always obtained from patients prior to their appointment being videoed. You, of course have the opportunity to decline.
